Bodhi Tree

The Bodhi Tree or Pipal Tree (ficus religiosa)

I think bodhi trees have very strong will to survive. They always grow in whatever limited spaces they can find, eg in NUS on the slope. And they can survive all the nonsense people gave them like i have often seen people pouring milk as offering to these trees in temples.

Near my house, there are two bodhi trees. In between these trees, there is a newly setup tibetan society, Mahakala. I wonder if they chose this location because of the trees. The two trees are quite strange. One of them is actually two bodhi trees joined together at the bottom. Another also have two trees almost growing together, but the other is not a bodhi tree and looks like it is dying, while the bodhi tree is thriving very well.
